CAPTAIN MICHAEL
Captain Michael McMahon has sailed in many areas of the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico from Key West to Galveston, Mediterranean Sea and The Red Sea in Egypt. He has been sailing since he was 23 years old and has an abundance of experience on trimarans and catamarans ranging in size from 16 feet to 70 feet. He currently owns three vessels – a 46 foot custom designed day sailing catamaran built in England and located in Sardinia Italy, a Dakota 33 high performance catamaran designed by Malcolm Tennant, built in New Zealand and now sailing in Egypt and a 70 foot Gold Coast Day Charter sailing catamaran that was built in the USVirgin Islands and is now sailing in the Dallas area on Lake Lewisville at Pier 121 marina.

The Chaminox II Story…
Since 1993, we have been a premiere venue providing spectacular sailing adventures for corporate events in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Now, Chamonix II is here in Dallas on Lake Lewisville to continue its legacy of quality service and casting long lasting memories which are only possible when man is guided by the wind on the water.
Great Sailing…
Dallas has on average 11 miles per hour per day of wind and is therefore considered one of the windiest cities in North America. We enjoy great sailing conditions most of the year.
We are only 4 miles away from the tollway and highway 121. Located at Pier 121 Marina next to Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar, the Chamonix II can accommodate from 20 guests up to 105 guests. Combined with Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar, the Chamonix II can host events for up to 300 guests. Charlie’s is available for private rental and can accommodate your event outside under its covered area or indoors. Charlie’s can also accommodate live bands for entertainment and offers the client flexible catering arrangements in order to meet the clients requirements.

Charter Policies
DINING & BEVERAGE SERVICES:
Charter includes unlimited water, fruit juces and soft drinks. We can cater any type of food you wish, or you can contract with your favorite caterer. Our preferred caterer is Brian Coggins of The Personal Chef Catering, at 214-763-3146, or e-mail: Brian@thepersonalchefcatering.com.
Alcoholic beverages:
We operate on a BYOB basis. After you purchase the beverages of your choice, we will load them on the vessel for your consumption. We require that a certified bar tender serve the alcoholic beverages . This is priced separately at $125 for three hour charters and an additional $25 per hour therafter.
Crew Gratuities: Not included. Tipping is not obligatory but very much appreciated. The suggested tip for a crew of 3 for a three hour cruise is $120 for 3 hrs/$160 for 4 hr cruises.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS:
Please make Charter reservations by calling Kerri O’Barr at 214-663-5740. A deposit of 50% (including the additional services required) is due upon booking of the charter. Payments for our services may be made online at our Payment Processing page . Deposits for reservations made more than 90 days in advance must be paid by check. The balance owed is due four business days before the charter. We are unable to hold charter reservations without a contract and 50% deposit.
CHARTER AGREEMENT:
Please download our Charter Agreement. Please fax all completed charter agreements to Captain Michael McMahon at 214-233-1107.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Any payment received will be refunded if the charter is cancelled due to rain or unsafe weather conditions at the time and place of the charter. Unsafe weather conditions will be determined solely by the captain and/or owner of the vessel. The client shall have the option to receive a full refund of any monies paid or reschedule the charter at a mutually acceptable date. Otherwise, all payments made are non-refundable.
Damage deposit: A $1,000.00 damage deposit will be paid upon signing of charter agreement at the discretion of the vessel owner.. This only applies to group charters.
CHARTER PRICING:
- Any charters returning later than 12:30AM are charged a $500.00 crew surcharge.
- Water, juices and soft drinks are included in the charter price.
- Crew and fuel are included in the charter price.
- $250 charge for remote pick-ups/drop offs ( Sneaky Pete’s, Cottonwood Creek, Hidden Cove Park ).

We had an event on the Chamonix II and it was AMAZING. Not only is the boat beautiful and have one of the smoothest rides, but the crew and staff are MORE than accomodating and were SO easy to work with for our event. I would highly recommend anyone to have an event on the boat. In fact, I hope we can go back to Dallas agan next year to have our event there again.

Captain Mike, we want to thank you and your entire crew for making our office Christmas party a huge hit. It was so much fun! It’s all we’ve talked about this week. With a group as large as ours (44 people), it’s hard to plan something that pleases everybody. But our cruise was quite special and while it was hard to imagine what it would be like with such cold weather, it actually made the event seem very festive and we were all quite comfortable. The food was fantastic, the bar well stocked and I can’t think of a single thing that could have made it a more exciting event. We’ll definitely be back!!!!!
