Salsa and Tango Sail? Sounds to good to pass up, right? We worked with the Chamonix II to get this event together. We have done it before with Salsa (check out the pics on MamboDallas.com) and we are excited to bring in the Argentine Tango crowd as well.
The boat sails at 10:00 PM (so be there at 9:30!) with unlimited free soda, juice and bottled water. It’s BYOB, so bring whatever you like to drink and some to share. The boat will have a machine for frozen margaritas and pina coladas, so feel free to bring some rum and tequila. We will be cruising around Lake Lewisville, dancing into the night! There are bean bags to lounge on and chill.
Music:
We will be playing tango/milogna/vals (both traditional & alt/neo) and salsa with some merengue, cha cha, & bachata thrown in for good measure. (Think of tango tandas with long salsa cortina.)
(Note to tango crowd from Ashiq, if you are registering for the event, could you please send an email to ashiqur@gmail.com. This will help in customizing the playlist for you. Also, do send your song requests.)
Dance Floor:
We will have a custom wooden floor inside the main cabin. Of course, you can dance anywhere on deck in the open air.
This event is limited to 80 people so we have room to dance, so buy your tickets early! Hope to see you there!

Sunset Salsa Sail? Sound to good to pass up, right? We worked together with the Chamonix II to get this event together and we are excited it’s happening-AGAIN. Come wearing all white as it your last chance to do so before Labor Day! We had a great time in July- be sure to check out the pictures.
The boat sails at 7:30 with dinner included, free soda, juice and bottled water. It’s BYOB, so bring whatever you like to drink and some to share. We have a machine for frozen margaritas and pina coladas, so feel free to bring some rum and tequila. We will be playing salsa, merengue and bachata on the sail. Bring your iPod if you have a couple favorite songs! You can dance on deck in the open air or inside the cabin. We will be cruising around Lake Lewisville, dancing into the night! They have bean bags to lounge on while you watch the sun set.
These sails are usually $59, but we got a great rate of $49 for the whole event- dinner included. This event is limited to 60 people so we have room to dance, so buy your tickets early! Hope to see you there! Don’t forget this is your last opportunity to wear all white before Labor Day!

Since 1993, we have been a premiere venue providing spectacular sailing adventures for corporate events in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Now, Chamonix II is here in Dallas on Lake Lewisville to continue its legacy of quality service and casting long lasting memories which are only possible when man is guided by the wind on the water.
Great Sailing…
Dallas has on average 11 miles per hour per day of wind and is therefore considered one of the windiest cities in North America. We enjoy great sailing conditions most of the year.
We are only 4 miles away from the tollway and highway 121. Located at Pier 121 Marina next to Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar, the Chamonix II can accommodate from 20 guests up to 105 guests. Combined with Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar, the Chamonix II can host events for up to 300 guests. Charlie’s is available for private rental and can accommodate your event outside under its covered area or indoors. Charlie’s can also accommodate live bands for entertainment and offers the client flexible catering arrangements in order to meet the clients requirements.

We had an event on the Chamonix II and it was AMAZING. Not only is the boat beautiful and have one of the smoothest rides, but the crew and staff are MORE than accomodating and were SO easy to work with for our event. I would highly recommend anyone to have an event on the boat. In fact, I hope we can go back to Dallas agan next year to have our event there again.

Captain Mike, we want to thank you and your entire crew for making our office Christmas party a huge hit. It was so much fun! It’s all we’ve talked about this week. With a group as large as ours (44 people), it’s hard to plan something that pleases everybody. But our cruise was quite special and while it was hard to imagine what it would be like with such cold weather, it actually made the event seem very festive and we were all quite comfortable.
